If you have kids, they are probably bored by now and moping around the house looking for things to do. When I was a child, my mom would always give us two options if we complained of boredom. 1. Do a chore. 2. Read a book.
I would choose reading a book whenever possible (usually something like these)! I wonder if that is why I am such an avid reader today. Sometimes I still read books to avoid doing work. It seems to work out pretty well. I rarely get anything done. 🙂
Today, I am over at The Koala Bear Writer talking about 16 books to add to your kids’ summer reading list! I’ve included selections from baby books all the way to YA, and included both classic and new fiction.
Even if you don’t have children, children’s literature offers some of the most imaginative and well-written fiction in the world. If you have avoided the children’s section for a while, you may want to revisit it with some of these selections!
It’s summer!
Which means pools, parks, playgrounds, snow cones, and… books?
Many children have assigned reading in the summer, but if your children are the type to read the entire reading list within the first three weeks of summer break, you may need a little extra inspiration for what to pick up from the library.
Luckily, you don’t have to do your own research this year because I have done it for you!
I know you’re dying to go see what I picked. Go read the rest of the post here! What would you add to this list? I’t so hard to narrow things down to such a finite list!
