InterWorld is a story about a 15 or 16 year old boy, named Joey, who has no sense of direction. One of his teachers gives him an assignment to find their way through the city without cars, GPS or cell phones. He gets lost inside a mist, then finds himself in a parallel universe. It turns out he can Walk through realities. Due to this new found talent, he eventually learns that he must help save all of the worlds by defeating two warring powers, the Binaries and HEX.
This book was originally written as a basis for a television series, but no networks approved it, so the authors turned it into a book instead.
This book is fast-paced and interesting. It is written in the typical YA style, with easy-to-read words and casual dialog. This story will probably appeal most to boys, but some girls may enjoy the adventure as well. I give this story 4 stars.
