Today I attended the funeral of my friend Margaret. I only met Margaret last year when she was my bible study leader. Over the summer, she suddenly became sick and died. She was 63 years of age.
Today, Margaret is my featured person because she is everything I hope to be one day. Loving, kind, hospitable, giving and absolutely in love with Christ. Even though I only knew Margaret for a short time, she brightened my life with her laughter, encouragement and love. One day I hope people will speak as kindly of me as they spoke of Margaret today.
If you would like to read more about this amazing woman, you can visit her memorial site to see the fond memories that people have of Margaret.
Margaret inspires me to do more, love more and enjoy more. That is the best legacy to leave, I believe. My husband found a song the other day that I think fits Margaret.
”The flesh that lived and loved will be eaten by plague
So let the memories be good for those who stay”
Margaret, our memories of you are the best. Enjoy your new life in heaven.
