Plot: In the last book of the series, Gregor has returned to the Underworld to fulfill the final prophecy, The Prophecy of Time. In this Prophecy, the Warrior is predicted to die in battle fighting against the rats. The rats have compiled a huge army and are attacking the human’s city. Gregor must try to save the city, save his family, and save his own life all at the same time.
Thoughts: The first thought I had about this book is that it has tons of blood. I don’t even remember there being mention of this much blood in The Hunger Games, which is all about death. So, I guess Suzanne Collins is pretty morbid. I have loved this series from the very start, and this is no exception. I had to read the story straight through so I didn’t miss any of the action. I like how the series played out- except the very end, but I usually hate endings because there will be no more books. I liked how Collins has the characters grow and mature throughout the life of the series. Overall, this series is very entertaining, very riveting, and enjoyable to read for all age groups. Just watch out for the blood.
