Serina’s First Flight is a story about a young tooth fairy who is old enough to take on her first flight as a real tooth fairy. She has several other older sisters who have flown for years, and they always scold her because she always gets into messes.
In the story Serina has many adventures collecting the money and rescuing it from an underwater witch after she drops the money into a dark lake.
I first encountered this story when I was about six or seven. My mom bought it for me, probably when I was loosing teeth. I thought the story was enchanting as a child, and I wanted to be a tooth fairy as well. I really wanted to have wings and fly, but of course, that never happened. 🙂
I think this is a fun fantasy story for little girls. If you don’t like the idea of reading stories with witches and made up creatures, then you probably won’t like it. I don’t know if I would if I hadn’t read it as a child. But the art in the story is very good, and it is a neat story about how even clutzy girls can be heroes. This story is best for children between four and nine.
I give this story three stars.
