So, I've been reading lots of free or near-free books purchased through Itunes on my phone. It's like, the instant library! I think it's super cool, but most of the free books kind of suck. This year my daughter is in first grade and learning to read. She pretty much hates it. She doesn't like to sit still and sound out words. She wants to instantly recognize all words without ever sounding them out. So we've had trouble this year getting her to want to read.
