This continues my movie evaluation of the four-part BBC mini series of North and South. Read part one here.
So in this one, more of the same happens. Margaret doesn’t like Thornton, Thornton doesn’t like Margaret, and a strike happens. They really make Thornton out to be an epic bad person in the movie. I don’t know how they intend to make it so they can reconcile and become married at the end, because they seem way to different. Maybe he toughens her up and she toughens him up? At any rate, in other parts of this story, the mill workers go on strike, and Margaret attends a ball. It was a pretty boring episode.
