This week, I have been reading The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. This series is one of the most well-written and entertaining children’s series I have ever read. Although I don’t really care for the actual plot of the book, I love the writing style and how Stewart communicates the events in the book. He uses a mix of entertaining, descriptive, and simple language that is easy to follow and fun to read.
I thought Mr. Stewart would turn out to be British, because his book reads like an English book, but I was wrong. He actually lives in Arkansas. He has a series of short stories that were published in 1995, but other than that, all of his books are related to the Society universe.

If you like to read good, entertaining literature, then you won’t want to miss this author.
