This year at Daily Mayo, we’ve been reading the rainbow. We started with red, and have gone through orange, yellow, and green. Today, we are finally getting to my favorite: books with blue covers. I love books with blue covers because they are full of mystery, but look calming at the same time. Blue books make me want to take them to the beach and read while soaking up some sun and a delicious beverage.
Books with Blue Covers to Read Right Now
The Stranger looks like a fun mystery that would be the perfect thing to read on a rainy day or while on a short vacation.
Go Set a Watchman
Everyone must read this book, which is the sequel for To Kill a Mockingbird. It has a cover that draws you into the story. I’m interested in learning more about Adult Scout.
The Land of Stories: Beyond the Kingdoms
If I were still a child, I would reach for this book on a shelf before anything else.
Shadow Scale looks like a fun old-fashioned fantasy read that is full of adventure and magic.
Any cover that has a carousal on it is going to catch my attention. It looks spooky and nostalgic at the same time.
All the Single Ladies
Ridiculous name aside, I’m a sucker for any book cover that has a nautical reference.
All the Light we Cannot See
All the Light we Cannot See has been on my TBR pile for a while now. Now that it has one so many awards, I really need to push it to the top!
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
This book belongs on everyone’s shelf.
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
The beautiful, delicate feather would improve the look of any bookshelf.
This cover reminds me of A Clockwork Orange. For this reason, I would expect it to be freaky, but I don’t think it is meant to be. For a children’s book, Wonder is surrounded by a lot of controversy.
A Spool of Blue Thread
Sometimes you buy a book just for the cover, but then the inside turns out to be even more awesome. This is one of those books. The Night Circus was also a book like that.
I love the combination of yellow and blue on this cover. The contrast between the colors and the fonts makes this cover appealing.
I will also buy almost any book with a Ferris wheel on it. I expect this book to be a little creepy.
The Sound of Glass
To be honest, I only included this book because of how pretty the sea glass is. I actually bought some sea glass earrings after I found this book.
The Guest Cottage
I like her shorts. I would read this book on a summer vacation.
