I know everyone says not to pick a book by it’s cover, but there is definitely something to be said about cover appeal. I am more likely to pick up a pretty book from an unknown author than an ugly one (that’s how I got The Night Circus).
Cover designers don’t get enough credit for the work that they do. With the read the rainbow series, I want to change that. In honor of cover-designers everywhere, we are going to read the rainbow.
Today, we start off the collection with red.

I love how so many classics come in almost every color!
This series is good for a laugh.

Book two in The Selection series, I think I enjoyed The Elite more than the first book!
You can’t go wrong with a book set in the Harry Potter universe.
I loved this series as a child. These small red editions are my favorite and I’m currently collecting as many as I can find.
Reading Redwall books always makes me hungry, and almost convince me to go vegetarian.
I love the imaginative descriptions in this series by Corneila Funke.

George RR. Martin may take forever to write books, but he writes them well.

This book comes in both red and yellow, and is currently in my TBR pile.

The Ruby Red series is an amazing YA retelling of fairy tales.
I don’t know anything about this book, but I would buy it for the cover alone.
This steamy romance was full of humor and good writing.
If you like vampires, don’t miss this series.

A Little Princess was one of my favorite books as a child. I love this red cover version.
This is such a unique cover for The Wizard of Oz. I love that the shoes are silver like they are supposed to be.

This book has all of the elements to become one of my new favorite stories.
