Today, I am joining the monthly Literary Junkies link-up party to say “hey” to some fellow book-lovers! This month’s questions below:
1. What are you reading right now? Tell us about it!
I just finished reading Black Chalk by Christopher Yates. It is a story about 6 college friends who invent a game with real-life embarrassing consequences if you lose. But as the game goes along, the consequences get more elaborate, and soon, relationships are strained and lives are altered. It’s different from what I usually read, and I’m not sure how to classify it, but it was nice to read something unusual.
2. What was your favorite series to read when you were a kid?
Hmm… Probably a toss-up between Narnia and the Anne of Green Gables Series. I also loved The Boxcar Children and the Ramona series. I loved tons of books when I was younger.
3. The world is ending: What 3 books do you save from your collection in hopes to contribute to whatever new society forms?
Well, I of course have to save Les Miserables, since I think it is one of the best books ever written. Aside from that… Maps in a Mirror might be good to act as a caution for the new society (assuming we somehow forget history and the mistakes of the past); oh, a Thesaurus would be good too, so we don’t forget all the awesome words!
