Happy Friday everyone! Today, I am joining up with Parajunkee’s View, Alison Can Read, and Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer for their Friday link-ups. Except Parajunkee is out this week. Hope you are back next week!
Also, if you haven’t seen Billy’s (of Coffee-Addicted Writer) re-design, check it out. It’s pretty cool. All brown and tan like delicious coffee…
Feature and Follow Friday Question: It is up to you to do a Kickstarter campaign for your favorite book!!! Who are you casting for the main characters?
I would probably never do this. I don’t really like many movie versions of books! The one exception that I liked better as a movie was The Notebook. Actually, most of Nicolas Spark’s books translate very well into movies. The Lord of the Rings movies wern’t bad either, but I can’t say the same thing for The Hobbit. The Princess Bride, is also a great book-turned-movie (but you’re selling yourself short if you never read the book!)
I think the best stories made into movies are picture books or short stories. I wish more movies would use short stories as inspiration rather than the long books that most movie-makers seem to use.
Book Blogger Hop Question: Are you in a book club? How does your book club choose books? How far in advance do you choose?
I’m not currently in a book club. I joined one a couple of years back, but it was a dismal failure. The problem was the fact that we sent books through the mail, and most of the people in the book club were not reliable in mailing the books. I actually never got my book back! I was pretty sad about that. It was one of my favorites, The Truth by Terry Pratchett. I might join a book club again someday, but I keep pretty busy with book tour reviews these days.
