This book is an excellent book for children about owls. The pictures are stunning, and capture owl life in many different stages that children do not normally see, even with zoo visits. The book shows the owls in different stages of life, from eggs to adulthood. It also shows the owls at night, in different stages of eye dilation, eating, flying, standing, and even some of their nests and perches.
The text that accompanies the photographs is also very informative, if a little unorganized at the start of the book. The book is easy to understand and interesting for young children. My four year old loves this book. We picked it up at the library, but I think this is definitely a book that we want to add to our collection permanently. I give this book five stars.
