I haven’t yet read this book all the way through, but I have really enjoyed what I have read; so much so that I actually bought the book rather than just borrowing it from the library. Anyway, In this book, it is your typical futuristic society where everyone follows a specific life path. Each person is scientifically matched with their ideal spouse when they turn 17.
The main character is matched with one person, but she also sees a second person on her match tape. She must decide to trust the society she lives in or whether to make her own decisions.
This book is designed for teens, and will probably appeal most to girls. I remember reading some book similar to it about a boy, but I cannot remember enough details of that story to begin to remember the name. The Matched story is easy to read and is fast-paced. I give it 3 stars.
